My name is Maddy Lewis, your author here at Hello Vegan!
This is my outlet to share all of my raw fooder love.

Over the past 2 years I have taken my love for food and animals to the next extreme.
On February 10 2013 I gave up meat and became a pescatarian. I was under the belief that I needed to eat fish because I would be too low in protein (and I used to love fish). I fell in love with the pescatarian diet and stuck through for a full year. After researching more and more I found out I didn't need fish for protein, and I didn't want to consume them anymore due to finding the harsh truth of animal cruelty and what I was REALLY eating. With that being said I made the next dive into my diet and went vegan on February 23 2014. Being vegan has turned my life around. I feel and look 1,000 times better. For years I have struggled with anxiety and panic disorder, but after only one month of living on a vegan diet my anxiety disorder has almost diminished. I never thought the day would come that I would feel confident enough to say that! Living a vegan lifestyle has turned me into a new person. I love who I am now!
